Every time we come across a story about circus animals being freed from captivity, we can't help but smile. Circuses often exploit and abuse their animals, and these sweet creatures obviously have done nothing to deserve this type of treatment. For four lions that had spent their lives performing in a French circus, that story became theirs as they were recently released into an animal sanctuary. Finally, these animals are being given the freedom that they have longed for. We hope they are enjoying this wonderful new chapter of their lives!
"The four lions were born in captivity and had spent their lives performing in a French circus. After one of the lions attacked the owner they went to an animal welfare group. Plans for the lions to be released into the sanctuary in South Africa were delayed by two years because of the global pandemic but they are finally free to roam their new home." Via BBC News.
