Possessed Karen Screams Utter Nonsense to Starbucks Employees in Viral TikTok

Customer service interactions can sometimes get out of hand, especially in coffee shops. Some people take "don't even talk to me until I've had my coffee" to the extreme, and once they start to lash out, there's nothing the employees and the innocent bystanders can do to stop them.

Enter this woman, captured on TikTok by meltingpoint960.8c. Some of her speech is incomprehensible, and the phrases you can make out still don't make much sense. The cause of her outburst is unknown, and trying to figure it out feels like piecing together the mystery in a Nancy Drew book. In the video, she said the following:

"TRAINING PROGRAM THAT THE CITY PAID…IT IS NOT ILLEGAL TO YELL HERE. EXCUSE ME, MA'AM. YOU ARE HELP WHEN YOU ARE VISITING THE CITY. WOULD YOU PLEASE ASK YOUR FAMILY TO [incomprehensible] THAT YOU HAVE BEEN FIRED AND SUED SEVERAL TIMES. I WILL NOW LEAVE YOUR B*LLSH*T STORE. YOU HAVE BEEN ASKED VERY LOUDLY ABOUT YOUR FAMILY'S CONTRACTS. YOU DO NOT LIVE OFF OF THIS SALARY. GOODBYE, WITH THE UNDERSTANDING I ASKED QUIETLY [incomprehensible] BEING LOUD"

Now that's the kind of monologue Shakespeare wishes he wrote. Tennessee Williams is rolling in his grave.

The girl who recorded the TikTok tried to contextualize the events of the video but, by her own admission, does not know what caused the outburst.

Matt James, alumni of The Bachelorette and The Bachelor, commented on the TikTok, saying, “Internet do your thing.”

What we can take away from all of this is that although customers harassing service workers is a major issue, sometimes the customer is so wrong, that it's hilarious.
