Everyone's a pacifist until they get the chance to raise an army of over a million frogs. At least that's what we're starting to believe thanks to a recent ecologically questionable saga from TikToker @thinfrog. The account is a diary of one user's journey to create a frog army, starting from their rescue as piles of gooey boba-esque eggs, to their hoppy youths.
The 95 day quest is summed up in what manages to seem like both a cautionary tale and a success story. Ah, the duality of raising a militia of amphibians.
Needless to say, the move has garnered a lot of criticism for its ecological foolishness. Tiktoker @froggiebiologist was especially vocal on the matter. Donning a hardhat and flashy safety vest, he explains that the frogs could be an invasive species (bad for the ecosystem), or even a protected species, which you may actually need a permit to handle because they are “rare and endangered.” It's an affront to frog-kind, really.
Many commenters chimed in to share their own criticisms of the foolish project.

Interesting that this Leon Lagerstedt should comment about the neighbor's reaction. Because we think we've found it.
While we may not know if those frogs are actually the product of this bizarre military effort, it sure seems to check out. And if it does, there's many more where that came from. Hopefully this madman is stopped before it's too late and the entire neighborhood - and ecosystem - is overrun.
