Philmo, the young rescued bobcat has been taken into the vet for a surprise visit. Philmo was developing mats on his hind end, and it's unncommon for a bobcat as young as himself to do so.
Big Cat Rescue decided to look into the matter quickly, taking Philmo to the vet where they discovered he has kyphosis.
Kyphosis is described online as "excessive outward curvature of the spine, causing hunching of the back."
Thankfully, Big Cat Rescue saw there was a problem and immediately cared for Philmo! Philmo will be receiving pain management and hopefully things will turn around!
Thanks Big Cat Rescue for truly caring for all these gorgeous animals! Big Cat Rescue is an educational non-breeding, accredited, sanctuary and a registered non-profit 501c3 so your donations are tax deductible!
