Well, this sucks. When I first saw the trailer for the new Terminator 2 game, I instantly knew it was right up my alley. It looks like pure '90s perfection - a pixelated side-scrolling shooter straight from the golden age of gaming, perfectly matching the tone and plot of James Cameron's masterpiece. And when the trailer ended with my actual birthday - September 5th - as the release date, I knew this game was destined for me. It was MY game.
But, as usual, reality has other plans. Reef Entertainment, the publisher behind this retro beauty, announced that Terminator 2D: No Fate has been delayed until October 31st due to manufacturing hiccups with the physical release. Bitmap Bureau, the studio developing the game, will also use the extra time to add some final polish. Honestly, it's a good reason for a delay, and the promise of a better final product takes some of the sting out. But I won't lie - this was supposed to be my perfect birthday present, and now my special day will just feel like Judgment Day instead.
I'll survive. Probably. But seriously, hurry up, guys - I need my Arnold fix.
