Well, folks, the final Stranger Things trailer has dropped, and let me just say it: these "kids" are not kids anymore. In fact, watching the gang suit up for one last fight against the Upside Down feels less like high school drama and more like PTA meeting after dark. Seriously, Eleven looks thirty seven. Time is cruel, but Netflix production schedules are crueler.
That said… I'm still hyped out of my mind. This is the big one - Hawkins is basically collapsing, Vecna is back for round two, and the trailer teases every flavor of chaos we've come to love. We're talking Lucas and Max in that heartbreaking hospital scene, Hopper and Eleven on a mission, Mike actually getting screen time that isn't just him being mopey, and enough destruction to make the Starcourt Mall look like a warm-up.
The Duffer Brothers promise this is the "biggest season ever" - which is exactly what you'd say if you were ending your biggest show ever - but honestly, I believe them. This is it. The endgame. And no matter how awkwardly grown-up the cast looks in their "teen" roles, I'll be glued to the screen, ugly crying through synth beats one last time.
