Eminem Just Hired Agent 47 to Assassinate… Eminem

Well this is one way to promote an album. A new trailer just dropped for Hitman: World of Assassination and it stars none other than Eminem hiring Agent 47 to assassinate Slim Shady. Yes. Eminem wants to kill Slim Shady. In a Hitman mission. This is peak 2025 energy and I am both confused and delighted.

This wild crossover ties directly into Eminem's newest era, "The Death of Slim Shady," where he symbolically buries his unhinged alter ego after decades of controversy, chaos, and some of the most quotable lyrics in music history. But apparently even metaphorical death wasn't enough, so now the world's most famous fictional assassin has been called in to finish the job.

The new Xbox Partner Preview trailer shows Eminem briefing Agent 47 like he's ordering a double espresso. Slim Shady, meanwhile, is portrayed as a full cartoon villain, which feels… accurate. According to Eminem, "I've been trying to put Slim to rest, but he keeps coming back. This time, I'm calling in a professional." Honestly, iconic.

IO Interactive confirmed this is an "especially creative" elusive target mission, joining the list of other celebrity cameos they've snuck into their murder sandbox, including Bruce Lee, Jean Claude Van Damme, and a James Bond nod with Mads Mikkelsen's Le Chiffre.

Eminem vs. Slim Shady will be available throughout this December, for free.
