Tens of thousands of flamingos have flocked to Mumbai after India's nationwide lockdown left the city quieter than usual.
Clearer skies, quieter streets, and cleaner air are thought to have made the usually polluted city more attractive to birdlife.
According to Rahul Khot, an assistant director at the Bombay Natural History Society, It's not just the huge number of birds that are attracting attention - they have also spread to wetlands where they were previously a rarity. They are being reported from places where they have earlier been reported less in number because there is no human activity there now", he told CNN.
