Two Brothers and the Secret Handshakes That Redefine the Meaning of Bromance

The term “bromance” is often used for a dear friend, male companion, or a brother-from-another-mother. It’s often used in a frat-boy context or referring to a TV male friendship that everyone can appreciate. But is a bromance even more bromantic when referring to a pair of actual biological brothers? Perhaps that could be called something else, something more epic that portrays an even deeper love. 
 

The Pointer Brothers are a pair of TikTokers who have strengthened and fine tuned their bromance beyond their natural biological bond. Henry and Mike have not only endured childhood together, but have forged a friendship stronger than any bromance that anyone could ever imagine. 

While making a series of hilarious videos and skits in the comfort of their backyard, the Pointer Brothers have shown the world their cleverness, hilarity, and of course, their friendship in the most sincere way possible. Most recently, they completed the third part of a well-loved series of videos titled “Classic Ways To Greet The Homies”, which shares a glimpse into their world of secret handshakes. 

In the first part of this series, Henry and Mike show their audience a series of silly greetings and handshakes that one might use when walking up to their best friend. A handshake is how one might greet a random person, but a secret handshake is reserved for the elite friendships– the bromances. As many children grow up fantasizing about the perfect secret handshake with their bestie, these videos highlight a few unthinkable handshakes that are not only unique, but fun to perform.

Not only are these handshakes a little extra, but they are all pretty impractical in the real world, thus adding to the ridiculousness. By popular demand, Henry and Mike went on to create two more follow up videos showcasing even more secret handshakes.

The world will never understand the true bond between two people, bromantic or otherwise, especially when it comes to the Pointer Brothers. However, given that we have a small view inside the world they’ve created on TikTok, it’s pretty clear that Henry and Mike share something much stronger than your average, run-of-the-mill bromance. They share what we all search for at the end of the day: Brotherhood.
