We have a new favorite "Awww" animal and it calls "Costasiella kuroshimae", or in its cuter version- "leaf sheep"/ "Shaun the sheep".
This underwater treasure with its beady eyes and flat face that looks like something out of a Pixar movie, is a species of a sea slug, definitely the most beautiful one in the ocean.
The sassy slug can grow up to 5 millimeters in length and can be found near Japan, Indonesia, and the Philippines.
But besides being extremely cute, these slugs have one more unique trait - as they graze on green algae, they use the chloroplasts from their food to manufacturing their own energy, in a process called kleptoplasty. And yes, that means they are the only non-plant organism in the world that can perform photosynthesis.
We have only one question- Why isn't Leafsheep Pokemon?
