Turmeric is an excellent spice and can (and should) be thrown into most dishes. It's a spice that's been used in India for thousands of years and has so many benefits to it. Turmeric is an anti-inflammatory, can be used for all sorts of conditions that involve pain, high cholesterol, itching, and even cosmetics!
Not that anyone should eat cosmetics. However, turmerics active compounds in skincare is quite effective since the natural spice is an antioxidant, anti-inflammatory, and even has anti-aging activity.
Seriously, turmeric is an amazing spice and should be in one's diet often.
Another thing about turmeric is that is has a very strong yellow color. In fact, it's the spice that gives curry it's iconic yellow color!
One Thai woman, named Supamas, was worried about her cat, Ka-Pwong. Ka-Pwong had a fungal infection that didn't seem to be getting any better. Supamas reached out to her mother for advice and was suggested to try turmeric. Makes sense, right? It's a natural spice with many healing properties. Supamas began to apply turmeric all over her cat, to ensure the fungal infection leaves completely.
Turns out it worked! It just came at a price. Supamas had accidentally stained her once white cat a very vibrant yellow. And the only problem is... the yellow won't wash out. People were quick to point out that Ka-Pwong now resembles Pikachu.
Don't be worried though. the turmeric has definitely helped Ka-Pwong from itching and licking the infected area. You can see in photos below just how much turmeric actually helped. And eventually, the color will fade. It'll take time, though.
In the end, Ka-Pwong is healthy and happy, that's all that matters! You can follow Ka-Pwong's journey on Facebook!
