Sweet Special Kitten Nudges Her Way Into Reluctant Man's Heart
What an absolute angel of a kitten!
Itty Bitty Kitty Committee, a rescue group in Charleston, West Virginia, got an 8-month-old kitten brought in who was born without a left eye or nostril. The kitten also had a bobtail and asymmetrical brain.
Board member of Itty Bitty Kitty Committee, Kathy Lucas, told Love Meow, "We immediately fell in love with that sweet face. It was determined that her left eye did not develop and she has no nasal passage or cavity on the left. She sees and breathes on her right."
"As one vet stated, 'she is who she is' and she is a sweet, trusting, petite girl with a lot of personality,"
They named the adorable little lady, Zara. And this is Zara's story (soon to be named Idgie) of how she nudged her way into the heart of a man reluctant to adopt another cat.

Zara adored human interaction from the start. The moment she arrived in foster care, she made herself right at home. When she receives any attention and cuddles, she herself becomes the sweetest cuddle bug there is.

This sweet tabby won over the hearts of the entire staff at the rescue, they knew they had to find her the purrfect home. Kerry Drabish, received a message about Zara and immediately fell in love. The only problem? Her husband was reluctant.

"My husband was reluctant to adopt another cat since we already had five at the time, but we agreed to a meet-and-greet visit," Kerry told Love Meow. At the meet and greet, Zara made her way into their laps and Kerry's husband fell in love with her.

While filling out the adoption forms, Zara (now re-named Idgie), " insisted on inspecting her adoption agreement to ensure all the 'i's' and 't's' were dotted and crossed," the rescue said.

Kerry said that the moment Idgie stepped into her home, she explored every nook and cranny. "She introduced herself to our other cats as if to say, "I am here to stay, and you will be my friend."'

Idgie constantly cuddles up to her new best friend, Kerry's husband. Idgie curls up in his arms and hops into his lap when sitting down with a laptop.

"My husband who was reluctant to get another cat, is now Idgie's favorite human, and he's crazy about her," Kerry told Love Meow.

Idgie may be tiny, but she definitely has her humans wrapped around her paws!
