"My husband was reluctant to adopt another cat since we already had five at the time, but we agreed to a meet-and-greet visit," Kerry told Love Meow. At the meet and greet, Zara made her way into their laps and Kerry's husband fell in love with her.

While filling out the adoption forms, Zara (now re-named Idgie), " insisted on inspecting her adoption agreement to ensure all the 'i's' and 't's' were dotted and crossed," the rescue said.

Kerry said that the moment Idgie stepped into her home, she explored every nook and cranny. "She introduced herself to our other cats as if to say, "I am here to stay, and you will be my friend."'

Idgie constantly cuddles up to her new best friend, Kerry's husband. Idgie curls up in his arms and hops into his lap when sitting down with a laptop.
