Cat Brings Home Adorable Stray Kitten

Klarieke, a cat owner from Greece, has three adult cats: Jack, Louis, and Stavros. She and her family adopted Stavros just one year ago, Klarieke tells Love Meow, "Stavros lived on the streets and was very ill. He was rescued by a Dutch girl who stays in Zakynthos every summer. She was looking for a home (for the cat) in Holland, so we decided to adopt him."

"My husband and I said to each other, 'this is the last cat, three is enough," she added.

That is until Stavros befriended a stray kitten and brought that kitten home.

Meet Stavros. Last month, a kitten showed up in Klarieke's yard. The kitten was skinny and sky. When the kitten returned a second time, Klarieke was surprised to see Stavros hanging out with him as if they were best friends.

Stavros has taken this adorable little kitten under his wings, as it would seem. The kitten would find himself inbetween plants in the garden and eventually made his way into the shed (that is attached to the house).

It didn't take long at all for the family to see how quickly these two have bonded. They would play together, cuddle together, nap together in the shed. Even though the kitten was scared and sky, the kitten was crazy about Stavros.

"One day, I was feeding our three cats in the kitchen, and Stavros was just standing by the dinner table instead of eating." Klarieke discovered that the stray kitten had joined them and was eating Stavros' dish.

"I gave the kitten his own bowl of food in the shed but he fled when he saw me. Apparently, he was so hungry that he took the gamble to come in to eat."

And from that moment forward, Klarieke would prepare an extra bowl of food for the little stray, in hopes to win his trust. Slowly, but surely, it worked.

As no one came to claim the little guy, the family decided to name him Charlie. "Stavros acted like a parent to him, and the kitten started spending more time with him in the shed during the day."

It wasn't long when the kitten began to wonder about the indoor life. Still scared and shy, and after a few weeks, Charlie stepped his first paw into what will be his new forever home, along his best friend.

Once inside, Charlie followed Stavros everywhere as Stavros gave Charlie the tour. "We can officially say that Charlie has moved in with us and we have a 4th cat. He comes to the kitchen when it's dinner time and allows us to pet him and even cuddle."

Charlie was taken to the vet, got the clean bill of health, and is slowly coming out of his shell each day.

Charlie has found his forever home, with a best friend, and will never have to worry about food, shelter, and love again.
