14-Year-Old Cat Finds Purrfect Companion To Share Golden Years With

A match made in heaven! Earlier this year, a friendly 14-year-old gray cat, originally named LL Cool J, was brought into the Anne Arundel County Animal Care and Control in Maryland. The shelter arranged a foster home for this gentle cat so he could live comfortably until the right person came along.

Little did anyone know, the person who would come along would be the absolute purrfect match and that they would both need each other.

The volunteer, a 89-year-old woman, who stays at an assisted living facility, was in need of a companion and fell in love with the sweet and loving 14-year-old cat.

The shelter wrote, "The pandemic has been so hard on the residents of assisted living facilities and their loved ones, who cannot visit, share a hug or even a touch, LL Cool J (now renamed Raven) is allowed to live with this lady--

thanks to their pet policies, which permits residents to have one well-behaved, vaccinated pet weighing no more than 25 pounds. Talk about a win-win for both senior humans and senior pets."

The moment Raven and his new human met, it was love at first sight. Raven immediately snuggled up to her and the action left the woman with a big smile on her face. They really connected and it was if they were completing one another.

The two adorable seniors are now spending their days together, snuggling away, and Raven is the happiest he's ever been.
