As we've all had hammered into our heads from an early age, dolphins and whales are mammals. Put extremely simply, dolphins started when some kind of weird pig/rat/wolf/hippo creature figured land was a bad move and there were more opportunities back in the water. That in-between thing looks like a failed science experiment. Nature has produced some strange things, like this cold-blooded freak-devil cave goat.
