Silly But Heartwarming Stories Of Cats Acting Compassionate

Whoever said that cats are not compassionate clearly doesn't know what they're talking about. Cats are incredibly compassionate, they just do it in a different way than what you are perhaps used to.

Our amazing, animal-loving users on Facebook shared their stories about things that their cats do or ways in which they behave that are clearly loving and caring, and we thought it was only right to share these stories with you, so that you can see just how amazing cats are. These stories are insanely heartwarming but also somewhat silly at the same time. Because no matter how loving cats are, they are silly little furballs at heart.

If you have your own heartwarming but stilly pet story to share, come talk to us on our Facebook group: ICanHas Storytime.

Font - Julie Pieper I had a long haired guy who had a lot of hair balls, no matter how often we brushed him. Any time I threw up, he was right there, paw on my leg, in hilarious sympathy and solidarity (I always tried to soothe him when he barfed). I swear if he could have, he'd have held my hair back for me. 54 Like · Reply · Message 1d

Cats show their love in unexpected ways all the time. Accept it, say thank you, allow yourself to feel blessed, because if a cat loves you, that means that you totally are blessed. Whatever weird way of loving it may be, it is something to be thankful for, because it means that you've earned their affection, and that's not an easy feat.

Font - Robin Suggs In 2004 I developed a serious heart condition (severely dilated cardiomyopathy). I was so weak and sick I spent most of my evening in bed. Our male tabby PJ could have spent the evening with my husband in the living room, but instead chose to snuggle up with me. He knew I wasn't well and wanted to be there for me. RIP my little Pidgit. 12 Like · Reply · Message 1d

That's something that we often hear cat owners talk about - how their cats are able to recognize when they're feeling bad and come over to provide comfort. When cats love, they love hard, and they are happy to let you know about it. You just need to know how to see their love.

Font - Monica Cutler Before I moved out of my folks' place my female cat would spend hours looking out a window that pointed to where I parked my car. Then as soon as I got back she would greet me at the door and go back to being her usual, relatively independent self. She MUST sleep on my pillow or against my face for at least part of the night every night, and when I put fresh food down she doesn't eat until I pet her to let her know she can have it. Neck - Lee Brannon I have been laid up with a terrible migraine for a couple of days. When I got up to try to eat something, I saw that my kitty nurse brought me his fishie. OD 28 Like · Reply · Message - 1d

Font - Victoria Coates Cats are amazing. My tabby who is about to turn 21 lives with my parents as my husband is very allergic (yes it's true love, I chose him over having cats ) I had a tough time at secondary school and if I ever came home upset my cat was right there. If you cried he got so concerned and would be up in your face meowing and purring and giving you bump kisses to try to make it better. My grandma had a cat who would warn her when she was getting a migraine so she could take her

Font - Anne Stenslien My cat had potty problems that got so bad she'd just hide in the closet. Once I thought I was going to lose her and cried like a baby. She came out more often. Gave her antibiotics and she started coming back. I checked her litter box all of the time. When I saw she had peed or pooped I would sing and dance around and tell her what a good girl she is. Now she meows when she pottys and waits by her box. a 4 Like · Reply · Message 16h

Vertebrate - Carol McKnight I recently had a really bad day at my house. Sat down and cried my eyes out . My cat came and sat on my lap, gently touching my face with his paw. They are not heartless. Cats are as good as pets as dogs. 16 Like · Reply Message 1d

Font - Top Fan Holly Rudolph Mine runs to the door when come home and if anyone comes in before I do, they get hissed at. It's not territorial either, he does it to my son, his gf, my best friend, people he loves if I'm already home. It's only if they catch him running for me. Like · Reply · Message 1d

Font - Clawde Clawson Rees My last cat would play fight with me whenever i was angry, knowing i would push her away because i wasnt in the mood to play. But she kept coming back everytime i pushed her away because she knew her persistence made me giggle. It would take three or four times of pushing her away before i couldnt help but giggle. She always knew it would make me feel better. Like · Reply · Message · 1d

Gesture - Michelle Bess My Flerken was a stray that we'd started feeding when she was just a baby. Well, she ended up pregnant. We finally got her inside about a week before she gave birth. We had her spayed when her kittens were 6 weeks old. She never liked to be touched, and I told her that after she was spayed, if she wanted to go back to being an outside cat, l'd let her, but l'd be sad. She's gone out once since, and came right back in. Anyway, one day I was having a really bad day, crying,

Rectangle - Helen Reardon Cats are for people who appreciate subtlety! Dogs are really obvious in their affections, cats are harder to read and you can see why some people mistakely think they're aloof and not affectionate, loving pets. 45 Like · Reply Message 1d
