It really does! And I thought I was the only one who felt it. It's the same feeling when my cat decides to run across my whole body in the middle of the night. It hurts - more physical than emotional though, I suppose. Oh well, being that our cat is our cat and we love it, but both of these things are equally forgivable.

Your cat is purrect. It is a mere classic case of imitating its human because he loves it and wants to show solidarity. That, or you caught your cat mid belly cleaning, and the expression on its face is outrage at having been disrupted so cruelly and pointlessly. We choose the first option though.
