You must have wondered how people in the past handled things for which we have technology today. A washing machine? Well, we've seen pics how people washed clothes in the river? Cellphones? Well, there were phone booths, and way before that, there were... letters. But have you ever thought about how beekeepers used to handle their bees before they got their fancy outfits?

Apparently, tumblr users have indeed wondered about it, and the answer is they handled them with baskets on their faces. And after reading this, we want to say thank you to tumblr for both informing us of cool facts and mildly scaring us and giving us nightmares.

    Honestly, we thought it was made up too the first time we saw a picture of them. It just somehow seems both too silly and too terrifying to be real. But it is real, and we are feeling a combination of being somewhat scared, very impressed, while also having the inexplicable urge to laugh.
