Affectionate Rescue Dog Madly In Love With Its Adoptive Human

"There's no love quite like the love of a rescue dog," writes imgur user Rumpleteazer, and we are inclined to agree. There is something incredibly unique about the love that a rescued animal shows to you, the trust that it feels toward you after being previously hurt. And it feels just as special on your end, knowing that you helped an animal who would have otherwise not have had a good life, feeling the trust that you earned through your actions, and sometimes through a long time and a lot of work.

That kind of love lasts for a long time. And we are so happy to see Rumpleteazer's pup happy and oh so affectionate and in love with its adoptive human.

This is why everyone should get a pet, and preferably a less fortuned one. Look at the love in this dog's eyes, the pure adoration, and that's six years down the line. We can only imagine the joy that was on this pup's face the day you took him in, and there's nothing that makes us happier.
