This tweet is a classic. It has the same good energies to cancelling plans. Like, you both know that you want to cancel, but it feels so much better if the other person does it. If people notified me that they weren't showing up to the party in advance, maybe it wouldn't feel so bad. The surprise element of the party would be the free time granted to me.
