Company Offers 80 Cent Bonuses, Employee Responds In Kind

In any system that claims it pays you based on your output, it's important to know what you're worth, and 80 cents is something most people would see as an insult. This person weighed his options and decided what a better use of his time would be. It's not uncommon for employers to make workmore difficult than it has to be, as evidenced by situations that made people go "screw this, I'm out." For more shenanigans over miniscule amounts of money, here's a dude who got hounded over trivial debt and ended up mailing them a dime.

I would blast through my bay, add up all the allotted time and saw that I finished two hours earlier than I was allotted. It was somewhere around $0.15 an hour extra for each percent over 100% efficiency you were. So if you were good you could get a few bucks AN HOUR extra for the whole day.     Font - you could walk beside the pallet jack and toss stuff on without slowing down. Other times you would drive halfway across the warehouse, grab 1 item, and then have to drive back. Great. Thats 5 minutes more gone from my time. And they expected you to be hovering around 110% efficiency all the time. It was absurd. For some reason in the meat fridge the times were super generous. Every time I would go in there I would have an order of 20 items in 8 locations to be completed in...45 minutes.
