Tumblr Thread: Mourning Dog Befriends Duck And Gets Happy Again
Losing someone is always hard - for all of us. Apparently, that is true for animals as well. And it was especially true for George the dog. He had lost his very best doggo friend and has been heartbroken for 2 years since his passing, acting depressed and tired, not smiling nearly as much as he used to.
But then one day, something amazing happened. Out of nowhere, a duck waddled into George's life and absolutely insisted on the two of them becoming best friends. And lo and behold, a heartwarming interspecies friendship developed. Soon, George began smiling again, and seeing him happy made us smile just as much.

This is probably one of the saddest thing we've ever read. Not only did a dog pass in this story, but his best friend has become depressed over it. We can only imagine the pain that the owners went through watching this happen, and we're so elated to know that this story has a happy ending.

The duck's persistence is the most amazing thing in this story in our opinion. It really makes you think if perhaps George's best friend decided not to leave him after all, coming back as an adorable duck and making sure that his best friend will be happy from the afterlife itself.
