As a woman, there are a lot of things I don't understand about straight men. But I suppose that is to be expected considering I have never existed on this earth as a man. What is funny, however, is that gay men apparently are also confused by the things that straight men say and do. This is probably because society has placed a lot more weight on one's sexual preference than is really necessary. Gay men, in terms of self-expression, have a lot more freedom. While straight men have very rigid expectations. A straight man is expected to be attracted to women, but that's not enough. He needs to be super manly, and love trucks and war, but also hate his wife? There seems to be a lot to unpack here.
It was Reddit user u/phatstock who asked gay men to disclose the things about straight men that simply do not make sense to them. Apparently this is a hot topic, considering the question got over 700 responses in about half a day.
Who decided that caring about skincare is not a 'straight' thing to do? It seems like being able to take care of yourself in any way isn't manly enough. Cooking, cleaning, and cleansing? Nope sorry, these are not things a straight guy should do.
