Did you know that giraffes are the world's tallest mammals? Thanks to their towering legs and extremely long necks, they are able to take the title of 'earth's tallest mammals' with pride. A Giraffe's legs alone are generally longer than the total height of the average human, at around 6 feet tall! Their long legs allow them to reach speeds of up to 35 miles per hour! Can you imagine watching a Giraffe run at the speed of a car? We think that would be quite the sight.
Giraffes are truly amazing creatures with many unique characteristics. They are able to use their height to graze on leaves and buds on treetops that few other animals are able to reach. Generally, Giraffes roam in open grasslands in groups of 6-12 or so. Another fun fact about Giraffes- they are absolutely awwdorable!
