We've all seen the meme, and we've all pondered the deep and philosophical question that it poses. However, it's only now that we have been given something resembling an answer with a real life demonstration.
Sharing a photo of his wife's horse, Twitter user @BenVoytas explained how the animal had a wound on his leg that was being bothered by flies. Her solution was to fashion him a pair of "jean suspenders" to keep the pesky bugs away. The internet reacted with predictable excitement, with many heralding a solution to one of the biggest problems keeping us all up at night.
The post has not been without controversy, though. Some have suggested that the unique customization of the garment makes them more like chaps, and therefore not a viable response to the meme it had been compared to. On top of that, some complained that denim-based solution to insect irritants was not the most practical solution. Ultimately, these naysayers are missing the most important point: this horse has the kind of ice-cold drip to put all us casual jeans wearers to shame.
