Twitter Thread: User Explains Why Her Dog Suddenly Turned Green

Every once in a while, we find something in nature that we would absolutely love to study and read more information about. Like, when we found out the truth about fossils in the Appalachian mountains, or when we discovered that sometimes octopus punch fish for no reason whatsoever. We love discovering things about the animal world - when they're big things like that or... when our dog suddenly turns green, and we reaaally wanna know what in the heck happened. 

Thank goodness, that didn't happen to us. But, it did happen to @ExoStephO. And as an early Earth geochemist, she really did her research into this weird phenomenon. Of course, there's also the option that this dog is simply turning into some kind of superhero and will end up saving the world. But, what do we know?:

    Font - Dr. Stephanie Olson @ExoStepho I was alarmed to discover that my dog turned GREEN overnight. I had no idea why. But it turns out that, as an early Earth geochemist, I was perfectly prepared to find out!

    Goodness, we would have freaked out if we saw this happening to one of our pets, waking up to our pets literally turning green. We trust though, bring that this is something that happened to this doggo post-surgery, that you are a good owner who did everything that was necessary to help this little guy.

    We hope this pupper heals fast and well after his surgery. We can imagine that this whole process is difficult for it right now, and the green around its neck cannot be comfortable. Please keep us updated with more information about how he's doing.

They quickly consumed all of the oxygen in her neck swamp, which prevented the red staining typically associated with dog saliva.
