Planning a wedding can be very stressful. The more you plan, the more things can go wrong, and, well, it can take a village to ensure that everything goes seamlessly. If you're lucky you have a supportive circle of family and friends by your side to help you through it. It's normal to expect some help, but that doesn't mean you can start acting overly entitled and expect the world from each person you know. You may be getting married, but everyone else also has a life and in our humble opinion, it's not their job to drop everything for your 'happy day.'
It was Reddit user u/Laeigh who took to the 'Am I The A-Hole' community to ask if she was in the wrong for telling her wedding is not worth going broke over. Seems like there are a lot of emotions here. Family drama can be the worst.
Before diving into the incident, the OP describes how big of a deal this wedding is to her sister. It seems she has put a lot of thought into it but cares a bit too much about the flashy details. Perhaps that's what happens after being engaged for five years.
