Bad Products That Still Sell Like Hotcakes

Being the frugal-to-a-fault, hoard-clutching goblins that most of us are, it's hard to accept the fact that there are some things in life that we actually need to spend money on. The problem is that there are entire industries and products that exist just because they look like something you need to spend money on. That or they're filled with micro-plastics that we outlive us all and survive only to give our unrecognizably mutated kin futuristic megalymphoma. Anyway, watch out for those everyday scams so you don't end up making common but horrible financial decisions. For some fun, here are incompetent scammers who were their own worst enemies.

Edit, apparently mictobeads were mostly banned in the US (where majority of redditors are from) in 2018 (enacted 2015) but I missed that. However, this is not a strict ban as they are still allowed in "non-rinse off" products such as make-up or pillow stuffing and you can order large quantities of them on Amazon. I remember one where basically their meals were milkshakes, and it was a pyramid scheme where they had to refer their friends to it and sh 't. They spend a small fortune on each fad then move onto another one.
