Stray Tomcat Came For A Cup Of Tea And Stayed For A Loving Family

Once upon a time there was a stray, matted, disheveled and rather stinky, ginger tomcat that wandered his way into the yard of Imgur user Leleanor93. Poor Tomtom was in rough shape, and all he wanted was a cup of delicious hot tea. His new friends promptly abided by his request and placed the cup right in front of him.

Tomtom has needed a lot of love since then: his matted in collar removing, a full lion cut, treatment for ringworm, neutering, vaccinating, chipping and a diagnosis of diabetes insipidus likely due to a traumatic brain injury. After his medical recovery and stint in the foster system, his lovely caretakers who had so kindly provided him with a cup of tea were ready to jump on the adoption train and make Tomtom theirs.

    Font - The Tale of TomTom In March, my husband was approached by a matted, disheveled and honestly, rather stinky, ginger Tom whilst sat in our garden. We found through local Facebook groups that several people had been trying to trap him but had been unsuccessful. After some snacks and fuss we were able to get TomTom (named for being a boy cat and also so lost he probably needed a GPS) into a cat carrier. Unsure what else to do we contacted Hudds Feral and Strays who took him in the same night.

    TomTom has seen some rough days. As is evident by this description, he has also not had the best of luck with his health. Thank goodness that there are kind and compassionate souls that feel obliged to open their hearts to TomTom!

    TomTom when his owners firstttt found him. This little disheveled boi was enjoyed his cup of tea and the kind gesture that his future owners provided him with. If only he knew that in a few months time he'd be back there…forever!

    Sky - We followed his progress through HFS and the other week messaged to see how he was getting on. They informed us he was soon going to ready for adoption after 5 months in foster whilst he got treated. During this time he has been known as Bob Meowly.

    Sky - Seeing as he chose us to get him off the street, we decided it was only appropriate we chose him to come us for his fur-ever home. Today he was dropped off by his amazing foster mum Diane and us starting the process of settling in.

    Sky - He's going to be on twice daily medication for life and his fur is struggling to regrow in places, but he is full of love and we are so happy to have him with us! Though how the girlies feel about it is yet to be seen!
