Dude Unknowingly Exacerbates Allergic Reaction, Ends Up In The ER

Oh boy, it's a troubling TIFU like the one we have here that can serve as a great example that it's always crucial to take yourself to the hospital if you find yourself wrestling with an ongoing, uncomfortable physical ailment. Fortunately, it sounds like everything worked out for this dude. Doesn't mean that they weren't spared a whole lot of discomfort before that moment though.

    Font - After a nice hot shower back home, I set to work making dinner - Japanese Curry with steak.     Font - We start dinner, it is delicious. The flavors are magical and the steak is tender.     Font - I can still breath just fine and speak so l'm not panicking quite yet so I get to thinking. If the steak won't go down, maybe it will come back up? 5 minutes of fingers down my throat and I only manage to get a bit of the water back up. Let's try pushing it down again.     Font - Turns out I have had an allergy to something (still unknown) since childhood and it exclusively manifests in the lower third of my esiphogus. Relatively newer discovery in medicine, eosiniphilic esophogitis. Turns out some simple meds helped pretty rapidly and I've been mostly symptom free for over a year. Don't put things off friends!
