People get petty over parking debacles quickly — none of us are strangers to seeing drivers lose their minds over a valuable parking spot. In this case, it's not the spot itself that someone decided is too valuable to lose, but property owners deciding nobody should be allowed to park across the street from their house because it makes it slightly more difficult to back out of their driveway.
Reddit user u/Keychuk grew tired of these neighbors calling his job to complain when he parks a work van across the street from their house. In response, he took the time to find something of theirs to complain about: overgrown hedges that obstruct into the street. Turns out the neighbors had been asked multiple times to trim those hedges back to no avail, and the bill they ended up getting slapped with was a high price to pay. It's a basic life tenet; if you're going to put your nose where it doesn't belong, you better make sure there are no skeletons in your closet.
