It seems that everyone has insane mothers-in-law. Why does it seem that way? You'd think that kind people were raised by other kind people. Does some kind of switch flip when your child begins dating and you suddenly have to shape-shift into an over-bearing demon? Seems unlikely. At what point do we decide that boundaries are no longer applicable to us? It can't really be an age thing, but who knows?

All we know is that this kind of behavior is unacceptable. And we cannot be giving out passes to everyone and pretend that it's impossible for someone to change after a certain age. Plenty of people adjust their values later on in life. Say it with us, no more free passes to act racist. How about we try to convince our parents to educate themselves instead? What a radical idea.
