Frustrating Plot Holes And Movie Details That People Can't Stand

We understand that the people who make movies are just doing their best to make a compelling story, and it's our job to suspend our own disbelief in order to enjoy them. No one is going to stand up in the theater while watching Harry Potter and go "hey, this is stupid, magic isn't real!" But it's those moments that have blatant disregard for their own internal logic that take us out of it. That moment when you think "seriously, why does the wizarding world have a complex court system when truth serum also exists?" To enjoy movies less, here are some frustratingly unrealistic movie logic moments.

    Font - rob5i · 1d In the film "Gravity" George Clooney is hanging onto a tether and insists Sandra Bullock cut him loose to save herself. This is complete nonsense as there is no physical force pulling him away. With the slight tug on the tether he would have floated over to her. It's a monumental plot hole. The director got an Oscar when he should have been imprisoned.

    Font - NoMereRanger73 · 1d 3 In "Cars" during the one-on-one race between Lightning McQueen and Doc Hudson. The policeman reads out the rules and literally says "No lollygaggin" What does Doc do? He friggin lollygags as Lightning speeds away! So even though Lightning falls into the cacti and has to be towed out, Doc should already have been disqualified from the race! Lightning wins, he gets to fill up with gas and leave Radiator Springs, leaving Doc to fix the road.

So the rule that they can't be fed after Midnight means between midnight and sunrise. So while this was never properly explained in the movies, it makes sense because of that rule.
