When Cats Need Baths: A Small Collection Of Ridiculous Stories

Cats hate water. That is a known fact. The number of funny videos there are online of cats accidentally falling into bathtubs and chaos ensuing is all the proof you'll ever need. Thank goodness they clean themselves, because if we had to give them baths on a regular basis, we would lose it. 

Sometimes though, your hooligan cat who is always finding new and incredible ways to get itself into trouble gets into something nasty. You may try to get it off with some wet wipes or something else, but sometimes, you cannot, and bath-time become imminent and necessary. Normally, it's pandemonium, and these stories from ICanHas users definitely show that. But, in some incredible cases, cats actually seem to like water and baths, and those are somehow the funniest stories of them all.

    Honestly, after seeing the way that our basic run-of-the-mill cats react to water, reading stories like this is all the more incredible to us. It's like our brains refuse to accept it. No way in heck do cats actually react like this. And yet, they do, and we have to live the dream vicariously through you.

    One of the only acceptable reasons ever to give a cat a bath in our humble opinion. Some people try too hard, think that they need to treat cats like dogs and give them baths, when in reality, for the most part, it's unnecessary. Clearly, it was necessary here, and we thank you for helping this little furbaby.

I had a friend whose kitten was completely enamoured with playing in his litterbox so he needed frequent baths. He eventually grew out of it but it was a messy first year.     Font - Martha Cuthill I've never bathed any of my cats. The were indoor/outdoor cats. Never had fleas. They rolled around in the garden and I brushed them regularly and wiped their wet feet if they were out in the rain or snow, but that's all I did. They did the rest.
