Cardi B hosted the 2021 American Music Awards or as she called it, "A Cardi Partaaaay.' Cardi opened the show with an enthusiastic introduction to the audience: "I aint gonna lie, I'm nervous, I'm shaking," she said of her hosting debut. Cardi also informed the audience that the theme of the evening would be celebrating hometowns, as she gave a shoutout to her own hometown — the Bronx in New York City. That may have been the intended theme, but anything that BTS attends turns into the BTS show. 'ARMY' made sure BTS was trending on every platform to ever exist and the screams were louder than ever. Other highlights from the night include, the BTS boys performing with Coldplay, MGK taking his sweet daughter as his red carpet date, Chloe Bailey's hot performance, Jojo Siwa's first time wearing heels and so much more.
