Redditor u/toplestAita came to the popular subreddit r/AmITheAsshole with the following question for the community: was she in the wrong for taking her top off while spending a day at the pool with her friends?
We're going to disagree with the Reddit collective consciousness here. There's not really any reason why this user should have to put a top on while sunbathing. Sure, it's not exactly typical in the United States to sunbathe nude, but she should think about getting some new friends though because her friends reacted to the whole thing quite rudely.
It is impressive how prudish massive parts of our grand country can be especially when you compare it to places like Europe. It's entirely a problem that we've socially created for ourselves. Scientifically and objectively there should be no difference between a woman and a man walking around topless.
