It's pretty remarkable that every generation since May 25, 1977 has had its own iteration of the Star Wars saga. Some believe that the Star Wars franchise ruined modern Hollywood with its sequels, prequels, and endless ocean of merchandise. These days, it seems like half the stuff that comes out is either reboot of a reboot of a reboot, or a Marvel blockbuster with a massive budget. But is Star Wars really to blame? Even the biggest snobs can't deny that the original trilogy was one of the most groundbreaking space epics of its time. As both a Star Wars fan and a hater of modern Hollywood, I prefer to blame a little thing called capitalism. When the entire film industry is reduced to nothing but a money-making machine, of course you're going to eventually end up with a bunch of soul-less crap that feels like it was written by an algorithm.
If you're into all the Star Wars lore (including the prequels), then you'll love this diverse bunch of Star Wars memes that cover a lot of ground.
