They say "measure twice and cut once." But maybe if you're about to cut a bunch of sheet rock with a table saw that you've just flipped upside down, it's reasonable to consider not cutting once at all. Any really physical job is bound put people in conflict between safety and convenience, and it's up to you to decide if you wanna risk breaking your back for an extra 2 dollars an hour.
