Homophobic Mother Used To Shame Gay Daughter - Now Wants Her To Play Music At Her Wedding To A Woman
This one is a painful doozy. The OP was outed to her parents as a lesbian when she was only fifteen years old. Her father reacted heinously, he called her slurs and threatened to kick her out of the house. Her mother agreed with her father and did not defend her in her time of need. She told her she was "being disgusting" and that she'd "figure out what really matters" later on in life. Ironically, within the next two years, her parents divorced and her mom actually fell in love with a woman! You can imagine OP's frustration for how she was treated after this news. On top of it all, her mother asked if she would play one of her most personal songs at her wedding. She refused and now wonders if she is an s$$hole.
