It's always sad when people cannot sufficiently take care of their pets. We've talked before about confronting the stigma around rehoming dogs, and when it's actually the responsible thing to do to surrender a dog or cat if you cannot properly care for their needs, as well as the difficulties that come with rescuing a feral cat (although the positives far outweigh the negatives in every way). But some pet owners are simply not cut out for either the extremity of the animal they chose or the number of animals they chose to adopt. In this case, we have an unfortunate story about a bit of both.
Today we have the story of a man who lives with his girlfriend and their one month old baby in Eastern Europe. They share an apartment, and an enormous amount of animals that seem to multiply constantly. How they ended up with quite so many animals in an apartment and not a farm is beyond us, but the fact of the matter is that they are clearly unable to care for quite so many. With the birth of his daughter, the man is demanding his girlfriend either give up some of the animals, or he will take their daughter and leave her to raise his daughter in a more safe environment.
Before you read any further, we want to warn our readers that these animals are being kept in very dirty conditions, and descriptions of how these animals are living in filth may be upsetting to some of our readers. If you do not want to read about animals being kept in an apartment without their poop being cleaned, please stop scrolling now and click to a different article.
It should be noted that they have been together for 12 years, which perhaps is how this very extreme problem kept up on them. With that being said, it's very clear if you read on that what they have on their hands is worse than 4 dogs who don't get enough time outdoors, they have an entire house of animals not being properly looked after in one way or another.
