People Are Sharing the "Things That We Pretend We Need to Be Addicted to" and I Need to Go Home and Rethink My Life
This week u/Morticiar posed the question on Reddit:
"What is an addiction society pretends is a necessity?"
Annnnnd it's probably time that we, as a society, have a bit of a think about the things that we take for granted that are actually just major addictions of ours.
I can say, with total honesty, that I am guilty of a disturbing number of things on this list. The nature of my work puts me in a position where I am spending a serious number of hours on social media and sometimes it's hard to switch off. I love buying the latest and greatest technology and, like any editor, am obsessed with the overconsumption of hot bean juice.
