Local Karen Brings Her Kids To Play At Dog Park, Threatens To Sue Dog Owners

In a small town with only one dog park, it's easy to get familiar with the friendly faces you see on the regular! The original poster of this thread describes being on great terms with the other local dog owners, and that everyone seems to know each other. Let's start this off by saying that dog parks are called dog parks for a very specific and clear reason: because they are for dogs.

Children's parks, on the other hand, are for children. So we can not help but continue to ask ourselves, why would anyone bring their children to play at a dog park? We do assume that most people are aware that dogs, though delightful and wonderful in every way, can be very difficult to control when they are excited or instigated. And small children are very well known for being mischievous instigators. Some people are just out to make trouble, we refer to them here at Cheezburger as 'Karens.' Sit back and let the latest of the Karen debacles unfold while you read through this deliciously frustrating thread. Our votes are clear on this one, a big whopping NTA.

This dog park is very safe and organised, they have a vet nurse office nearby and it's seperate in two sections, one for smaller dogs and one for bigger dogs. I have two dogs, one weenie and a pitbull mix.

    Sounds very sensible, one area for large dogs, one area for smaller dogs, and note how neither of these areas is for children! Interesting.

    Font - My fiancé had taken our weenie to the "smaller" section of the park and I had our pitbull at the bigger section. The dogs there are all running around being playful and messy. At some point a woman comes at the "bigger" section of the park and sits there with her kids while also letting her kids play in dog activities and toys. There was something like a dog slide and she'd let her kids go there and she'd get mad when people had their dogs on the slide and would yell at them to make space

    Font - She didn't leave but she sat on a bench. At some point some dogs were running around playing and her kids were running after the dogs and one dog pushed a kid while running and threw the kid to the ground. The lady started asking for the owner and one she found the owner she started screaming at her about how she let her dog trip her kid. She kept screaming and everyone was trying to be kind and at some point me and another owner started matching her energy and started yelling at her tell

    Font - I was discussing this with my fiancé's sister and her husband that same night when they visited us. They claimed I was an AH for yelling at a lady for being concerned that her kid got hurt by a dog and claimed that me and my fiancé need a reality check if we defend dogs over kids getting hurt. First she was so entitled, claming the slide for her kids while it is there for the dogs.
