I've TNRd at a colony for almost four years now. I've seen many faces come and go.
  • 03
I've had sick ones, picked a few off the street after being hit by a car.
  • 04
Had this one Tom I could never catch for neuter. Eventually he became sick and looked absolutely miserable.
  • 05
Still couldn't catch him. One day he just disappeared. I figured he went off and died somewhere.
  • 06
Long story short, I find a note on the fence where I feed on my way to work.
  • 07
It says folded ear cat has been rescued, $2000 vet bill, is safe and sound, and is living the good life.
  • 08
I'm in contact with the rescuer and she sent me some photos. First photo taken by me PS.

To my bird lover friends, Trap Neuter Release is better for birds in the long run because it reduces the number of feral cat populations, which then reduces the number of birds that are killed.

Professional-Ad-2988 Oh I'm so happy for him! The picture where he's knocked out, belly up... That's a happy kitty

OP withoutadrought Most definitely! He's estimated to be around 10, so he may have spent his whole life on the streets. To see him like that, all sprawled out on his blanket, it's amazing.

Savings_Major_1042 God bless the person who rescued this precious baby! This is wonderful news!

  • 21
slaughterfodder This is probably the first time he's gotten some sleep in all those 10 years!!! Look at his chewed up little nose
  • 22
OP withoutadrought Now he can heal, and enjoy his soft blanket and safe, warm home
  • 23
micio9 It looks like he waited a long time for the good life. His ears could have been damaged by frostbite unless it's just a genetic fold on his ears. These stories always make me so happy.
  • 24
OP withoutadrought I'm in the mountains, so it can get pretty cold here. That would add even more to his already hard life. It's all over now, he can enjoy his senior years living the good life.
