Being alive is a very dangerous business. We can roll our eyes at the excesses of health and safety all we like, but a lot of those rules are there for a reason.

On top of that, there are plenty of times that they can fail — or, of course, people decide to deviate from the rules and face some heinous consequences afterwards.

The ways in which pretty common activities can put our lives at risk unnecessarily has recently been underlined by mortician and TikToker @lovee.miss.lauren. Admitting that in her job she has been on the receiving end of a few of these pastimes gone wrong, the video is a sobering look at how a split second mistake can cost you everything. While some of these are obvious contenders, others are things many might not expect.
