Talented Animals Reenact Cinematic Classic 'The Lion King' In Photo, Video, And Gif Form

Be honest: you cried when Mufasa died. It's alright to admit it, most of the rest of us cried too. The Lion King is just one of those movies that's so moving, you wish you were a part of it. The plot swings from high to low, and teaches lessons about the circle of life that can benefit all of us. It was one of my favorites growing up, and the sequels are pretty good too, but the original is a classic through and through. That's why it's no surprise that our four-legged friends love The Lion King just as much as we do– and I'm not just talking about watching the movie!

Whether they're reenacting their favorite scenes, or bending the rules to hang with their friends, there are countless examples across the internet of animals imitating The Lion King. In one famous video, a baboon brings a baby lion cub into a tree to be groomed, and they look just like Rafiki and Simba on Pride Rock. There's a mongoose and a warthog living together like Timon and Pumba at a wildlife rescue in Chobe, Botswana, and they're even better friends than in the movie. Don't believe us? No Worries For These Adorable Rescued Friends

Two of the most popular residents at an ecological park in Chobe, Botswana, are a mongoose named Mongo and a warthog named Miss Piggy, and they look strikingly similar to Timon and Pumba. Sure, Timon was a meerkat and Mongo is a mongoose, but these meat-eating mammals are so closely related, the shoe still fits.
Since they've been rescued, they won't go back to the wild. Instead, they work as wildlife ambassadors and teach lessons to their community, just like they worked to teach Simba in the movie!

We all like to think that our pets are the sweetest, cuddliest, most innocent balls of fur on the planet. I always thought my dog would be a hero if they made a movie about him! But, given the chance, it seems like a lot of pets prefer to play the villain.
