Everyone grows up dreaming about rescuing some baby animal from the street. We've all seen movies like Balto, Benji, and Lady and the Tramp, which are all movies that have perpetuated the ideal that it's entirely possible to domesticate, care for, and earn the trust of a feral animal. U
Bubbles, the white and black cat was one lucky survivor of the streets, making us all start to believe in the classic rags-to-riches trope that we've all been taught about as children. One woman found this cat struggling to survive in the grass, only hours old with the umbilical cord still attached.

While walking around on the street one day, Camryn, this little kitty's new mom, found a tiny ball of trembling fur, still wet from birthing fluids and left for dead in the gutter. In any other circumstance, this abandoned kitten would not have survived the hours following being left alone in this cold world, but Camryn wasn't about to let that happen.
She scooped up the kitten and brought him home.
After cleaning off the debris, filth, and fluids from the outside world, the tiniest of mews started to fill Camryn's home-- and her heart.

This little handful of fluff had no idea that he had been dealt a hand of mercy when Camryn crossed his path. She named him Bubbles and after hours of deep research, buying supplies, and kitten-proofing her home, Camryn and Bubbles embarked on a journey of friendship that would bind them for the rest of their lives.

First Camryn taught him to bottle feed, waking up every 2 hours in the night and dedicating her waking hours to care for the kitten just like a new cat mother would. Within a week, Bubbles opened his eyes and started looking more like an actual kitten than a simple palm-sized puff ball.

As Bubbles grew stronger, so did their friendship.

As many young kittens are at risk for several health concerns, it's a miracle that Bubbles survived his first month of life. But he did. And then another month after that. And another. Camryn had done it! The two of them were "out of the woods" and onto their lives together.

Bubbles is now a fully grown cat and has earned his place on this Earth, welding himself to his new owner, his brotherly dogs, and a life full of surprises and happiness. Usually animal rescue like this is just a dream and it's not advisable to pick up critters off the street to bring them into your home, but in some cases, animal rescue can be as simple as showing love to a creature that doesn't have it.
