We can see why this person chose to post this as a weird thing he or she was asked simply because of the dog's unusual appearance.

Font - Disglerio314 · 3 days ago I own a puli. I'm used to the "how does the fur work" and other grooming questions. I hate the people who make mop and or Rasta jokes like they are the first person to ever say that. When he was young and in his puppy coat we would get a lot of "puli...so poodle mixed with...?" But my favorite one ever was the time I'm walking my tiny puppy and someone can up to us, asked if she could pet him, bent down, petted Bobert, and then looked me in the eyes and said "thi

Oooooookay. We'll just be going then.

Font - RoseOfSharonCassidy · 3 days ago Kirby (smooth collie), Windy (supermutt) I have a smooth collie. On multiple occasions, I've been asked if I shaved a rough collie... once by a vet tech who was lecturing me about never shaving double coated breeds!

Font - womensrea22 · 3 days ago According to Embark, my dog is an American Village Dog. A man once asked me where he could get "a mini golden retriever" and then said I was selfish for "keeping the minis to myself" when I told him 1) she wasn't a golden retriever and 2) that I'd adopted her from the shelter

Font - Violet2393 · 2 days ago People often think my dog is a "mini golden." I also get a lot of people asking me what breeds he is because they want one like him. Sadly for them, he is the product of a many generations breeding project where dogs in a low-income neighborhood mingled freely. I think people have certain ideas of what a "mutt" looks like and have a hard time accepting that my conventionally attractive dog is not a specific type of "designer dog" but instead a random assortment of

Font - grumpkinmunchkin · 3 days ago I have a fawn colored Great Dane and was told by a a child (around 8 years old) that once my dog is full grown he will get spots. It took a little bit to realize the kid thought all Great Danes had harlequin coloring and the reason my dog was a fawn was because he was still a puppy haha. I also get “this is a dog park not a horse park!" All the time.

Font - JustTraci · 3 days ago · edited 3 days ago My Boxer: Is he a bulldog? (?!) He's too big to be a boxer. (100% boxer. Can't shrink him!) My Basset Hound: Is she a beagle? (The most common question.) A dachshund? (Seriously?!) A bloodhound? (Nope!) What's she mixed with? (100% Basset) Was that her barking like that?! (No, that was me LOL! She's very loud and sounds like a much bigger dog.) ETA a recent one: Is she a Basket Hound?

Font - Widdlebum · 3 days ago · edited 3 days ago I have always had Great Danes. If one more person tells me I could put a saddle on it, I will cry. Also, 'how much does it eat?!' - well, clearly more than a terrier. And my favourite 'do they come in that colour?!' Well... Obviously. You are looking at him... he's real.

Font - LifebyIkea · 3 days ago My girl is a Cardigan Welsh Corgi which isn't very common here in the states. Especially compared to the Pembroke.. Most people just ask what kind of corgi mix she is and try to tell me I was scammed when I tell them she is pure bred dog. One lady told me I wasted my money because I could have gotten the same thing by breeding a corgi to a GSD.
