Whatever walk of life that you come from, boredom is something that you will inevitably feel from time to time. Even those of us that feel completely dead inside most of the time require some form of stimulation, and all too often it can feel like that is lacking.

Naturally, we have the impulse to try and fill this gap, which often leads us to the forbidden delights of the internet. It's hard to let an attention span wander when we have the ultimate distraction right here at our fingertips.

While there may be a lot of bad things that come from being terminally online, the memes aren't one of them. Yes, they can be bad, or badly executed. It's also true that not many of them are all that memorable. On top of that, they are the ultimate method for wasting time, but that doesn't have to be a bad thing. So long as they make us feel better.
