There are about a million different ways to parent your children. You can go the 'cool parent' route and institute very few rules, and hope that they will not be able to rebel if they have nothing to rebel against. Or you can go for a much stricter route so they have less room to make irreversible mistakes. Listen, we know amazing people who came from both households, so it's really hard to say what is truly superior. Each child is different as well, so you may even have to adjust your parenting style depending on what each kid needs to succeed.
So, we may not know any real parenting tips. How to make sure your child gets into an ivy league? No clue. But we do know how to make things a little easier for yourself - you must have a sense of humor. It's very important to be able to laugh at yourself, and at your family, it's truly natural medicine.
