Everyone's a sucker for a little bit of chonk. Whether it's a chonky baby or a chonky kitty; chonk equals cuteness. We don't make the rules, we just enforce them. We recently stumbled upon the most wholesome little Twitter thread and couldn't wait to share it with you guys. Charlie, a beautiful ginger puss, took to Twitter to share what happened during his most recent vet visit. What he thought would be just an ordinary check-up appointment quickly turned into a lecture about health and diet (boring!). Long story short, Charlie was told that he was overweight.
While hearing such news can be upsetting, it didn't crush Charlie's spirits. Instead, he shared his story on Twitter and received the most uplifting replies. Fellow cats (and cat owners) rushed to comment and support Charlie in his weight journey. Many agreed that he did not, in fact, seem overweight… he's just oh so fluffy.
Hello, beautiful Charlie! We totally agree with you. We see no extra weight, just a whole lot of floof. Next time you go to the vet, show them this thread and prove em wrong.
On a real note though, all cats are different. Some are bigger, some are smaller, some eat more, and some eat less. It's all about finding that perfect balance for your furry one.
We love seeing cats uplifting other cats, it's all about body pawsitivity up in here.
We know that extra weight can have negative impacts on cats, and that's why it is important to dechunk sometimes. As long as you're not neglecting your cat and the vet's advice, we see no harm in a little bit of extra floof.
